The aim of this project is to explore American Indian community members’ perceptions of over-the-counter birth control pills, understand possible barriers and limitations to accessing birth control experienced by American Indians, and explore cultural and contextual factors that could support access to birth control and improve understandings of how to improve access to birth control among tribal members from the urban Indian community in King County, WA, and the Lummi Nation and Confederated Tribes of Colville Indians.
