Healthy Tribal Nations

Alcohol control policies, such as strategic limitation of access to alcoholic beverages through limited alcohol sales or other policies, offer a key opportunity for tribal prevention of alcohol related injury and death. The Healthy Tribal Nations project takes a holistic, Indigenous and tribal sovereignty approach to assess alcohol policies employed by tribal nations. We are working with Tribes collocated across 12 states in the Southwest, Northeast, Pacific, Rocky Mountain, Great Plains, and Great Lakes regions to understand and evaluate how these Tribes and states are using law to control alcohol and alcohol-related problems. Principal Investigator is Dr. Juliet Lee, jlee@prev.org; Co-Investigator is Dr. Myra Parker, myrap@uw.edu. You can learn more at our project website: https://healthytribalnations.org/
