Exploring theoretical mechanisms of community-engaged research: a multilevel cross-sectional national study of structural and relational practices in community-academic partnerships
Description
This National Instittues of Health funded research examined survey data from 453 people, including scientists and community partners in 165 federally funded community research projects. The study findings illustrate how structural governance and collective empowerment drive health equity in community-based participatory research (CBPR) partnerships, in addition to relationships and synergy.
